Do you have a crystal ball?
Can you see the future?
No? So why are you solving future problems now?
Can’t we wait until we’re actually having the problem, and use our time to work on solving problems we’re actually having (in the present)?
How do you know that your solution fixes the problem when we don’t know what the problem will look like?
Yeah, that’s what I thought.
Let me guess, bored manager who has managed to watch everything on youtube?
Actually, no. Customers do this a lot to me, wanting me to design Rube Goldberg-like environments and overbuild them for the millions of customers they will have.
Ah, so the idea of scaling doesn’t exist in their worlds? Nice Rube Goldberg reference!
Scaling? Sure it exists in their worlds. That’s the thing the printer does when we print the huge diagrams of these systems and dependencies!
