Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 Wish List

It looks like TechCrunch & USA Today blew an embargo on the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 beta due to be released, and now lots of places are getting in on the action. I thought it’d be a good time to update my Lightroom wish list from version 4. The leaked posts mention a few new features that make it easier to retouch images, some automation around leveling photos (which would be a godsend for me, I cannot seem to take a level handheld vertical shot), and some catalog improvements. My Adobe Lightroom 4 Wish List

I was just reading the Adobe Lightroom 4 public beta preview over at dpreview.com. I’ve been a Lightroom user for a few years now, and I’ve got a wish list for what I’d like to see in version 4.0: 1. Face recognition Tagging people in photos is not just for stupid consumer-level users, nor is it a gimmick. I find it’s a powerful way to create online galleries for weddings & events, and easily tag people. Proper tagging allows someone to see all the photos of a person of interest in galleries that support it, and a process to do it for me would be great. Winter Wonderland

By “winter wonderland” I sort of mean “winter hell hole.” At least until the plows get to us. I hate the cold but I love the snow, mainly because it’s what my 4×4 Jeep Grand Cherokee is made for. It was also apparently made for pulling my neighbors out, too. A minivan with 5 inches of clearance vs. 9 inches of snow — yeah, no wonder they got stuck. Compare & contrast today’s outdoor look to November 30th, a mere 20 days ago.
