Holy crap, Dell has a high capacity battery and is advertising 19 hours of life on their new Latitude E6400s. Might have to find a way to get a new laptop a few years before the normal replacement cycle.

I think they get that added time with the addition of an extra battery that plugs into the bottom, but even the built in 9 hours would be amazing.
Yeah, it comes from a combination of the 9 Cell battery and the “battery slice”, which is an additional brick that contains a 12 cell battery.
Suddenly it’s not a laptop so much as a boat anchor with all that battery attached to it.
If you don’t mind that it weighs 7.9 lbs with the 9cell battery hanging off the back and the 12 cell battery slice on the bottom.
Still though, its good that if you NEED it, you can get it.
Yeah, it’s also a $3000 laptop when you’re done, too. I wonder if that slice is detachable. I wouldn’t mind having it in the car, for example, but I wouldn’t need it for around the office.
19 hours is probably also the battery life if you are doing almost nothing on it…
