In my office we have a central meeting area with a projector, and we convene there a lot to watch videos during lunch.

I don’t like how computer guys add the title “engineer” to their positions. Did you pass a certification test to get that? (no) Is there a code of ethics? (yes, look at the LOPSA or SAGE sites) Can you use the ethics code to refuse to do things? (no)

I somewhat disagree. I’ve worked at a couple of different places which house sensitive information. We were told to question authority when we knew ethics were being bent or broken.
Just my 2 cents….
Yeah, but who actually holds computer guys accountable? Nobody. It isn’t an external entity as with doctors, lawyers, or engineers. For us, getting fired over ethics just means you got fired. If you are unethical it isn’t like you got disbarred or something, where you won’t be able to work again in your own field. You just go get another IT job somewhere.
