xp all the way!!!! i just got in a new machine with vista and am a first time vista user. have seen it a few times but didnt get to play. geeeezzzz..the start up time on the new os really sucked...you got to have 2 gigs to get anything done. the start up is slow but gets better after the 500 bazillion process load. (66 factory install) took forever to figure out how to stop processes. i was impressed with one thing though....i got this computer at about half price and in the first 5 minutes i chose to reinstall xp pro and loose the oodles of trial offers......did vista impress me....HELL NO....in fact, i am using the os disk as a coaster right now and that is no joke!!!! xp!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same way on the layout issues. Having to click 4 or 5 times to get to a menu that is one click away in XP seems like a step backwards from a usability standpoint.
